This is our “starter” plan if you have a tight budget, but still would like to get your company out on the ‘net, this is a great deal.

$29.95/month Basic Business Plan (+ $295 site development fee) includes;

• (1) domain name registration (if needed)

• Quality Website Hosting (a place for your website on the internet) that is 99.9% reliable.

• 10 pages developed for your website. This usually consists of a Main or Home page, an About page, a Contact Us page and some additional pages – your choice.

• Semi-custom header graphics. For the Budget Business Plan, I use what is called a “template.”  GetNetCo.com uses a template – you get an attractive, professional look at a very modest price. If you’d like a custom-designed header – unique to you only – I can do that for a small design fee, usually  a one-time charge of no more than $40 – $60 (I hire that out to the graphics pros). I can also use artwork that you already have  – why not keep a consistency in your marketing with a website that looks like your sales brochures?

• Design and Deployment of initial on-page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tactics. This is a very important part of website development and implementation that, frankly, most other website designers ignore – at your loss! I will personally the  time it takes to learn your business, so I can make your site search engine friendly. What good is having a website that no one can find?

I will sit with you and personally give (and demonstrate to) you some very specific tips, techniques and practical how-to-do-it advice on how you can attract visitors to your website! I know a few “tricks of the trade” and can get you started on a plan to get your business noticed. • Free Web 2.0 training & advice. Social networking (Twitter, Facebook & Linkedin, etc.) has become a hugely effective and inexpensive method to get your message out to potential clients and customers. • Payment through PayPal contract monthly. The reason I ask that you pay me through PayPal (they can fund through a credit card or a bank account – just like an automated payment) is that it’s automatic, and I don’t have to waste time (and money) sending you a bill each month. You also have total control – you can stop the payment through PayPal any time you want – although I hope I don’t give you reason to do this. Besides, PayPal (owned by eBay) is becoming almost universal as a secure, reliable method of payment – for most anything – throughout the world.

• I ask for a 12 month commitment. The reason? While most web development companies charge a huge up-front fee, in addition to their monthly hosting fee, I would rather charge a smaller development fee up front and a small monthly fee. I think this approach makes it easier for the client to bear, and it’s a lower cost overall. Plus, the monthly draw helps keep us (as consultant & client) in each others mind through the months and years. Most other developers will charge for everything they do for you after your site is built. With our monthly arrangement, I’m here for you, to make changes (within reason), update your site, or to answer questions and give advice. The last thing I’m in business for is to build a website and then disappear. That does my clients no good, and it’s certainly no good for me either. Technology is ever changing, and if we don’t stay abreast of these changes, your website (and then my business) will become obsolete, and quick!

• Can you leave before 12 months? Certainly – if you’re absolutely, positively unhappy with me and my services. I won’t be a jerk & “make” you live through the full 12 months if things are that bad between us. But I do ask for a couple of things in return for this flexibility. 1) Please give me every chance to make you happy. I strive for happy customers. I’m not perfect, and I do make mistakes – I’m only human, too. But,  most mistakes can be fixed, and I do ask for that opportunity before you take your business elsewhere. 2) if, within a month or so and for whatever reason you decide to sever our relationship, I ask to keep the up-front development fee, so I can partially recover some of the time I’ve got into your web development. If we both decide that a parting is in order, I’ll refund every penny (minus the domain name registration fee), but you agree to give up any claims to site and any content I’ve developed just for you. Fair enough?

• References are huge for me. Really, we have nothing more than our good reputation in this world. And, I strive for a great reputation.
